This project established the importance of flexibility in housing design in the UK on residents’ fundamental Psychological human needs.
Crowding and privacy regulation at home and impacts on Aggression, 2024
During Covid-19 Lockdown in the UK, residents reported their levels of agression, crowding (objective and subjective) and how well they can regulate privacy. Our research examined the relationships between these with implications for housing design.
Designing Homes for Healthy Cognitive Ageing Project, 2023
This project aimed to explore challenges, opportunities, and scalable ideas to designing and delivering housing in the Uk that supports cognitive ageing.
The design attributes of the home that can support cognitive decline associated with ageing and dementia, as well as supportive modifications and adaptations, can play a crucial role in facilitating ageing-in-place.
We need more flexible and future-proofed home, that is not ‘clinical’ looking, and further education regarding supportive designs and stigma associated with older person housing in the UK.

Green Operating Theatres Project, 2024
Non-sterile gloves provide protection from blood and bodily fluid but can come with risks when overused or used incorrectly.
We implemented a behaviour change intervention to reduce unnecessary non-sterile gloves use at two operating theatres of St Mary’s hospital, London, focusing on environmental impacts and safety.

New Mobility Services, 2022
This project took a co-creation approach with local experts and stakeholders to adjust large scale survey findings on new mobility services, to make them relevant for local communities in the UK including marginalised socio-economic groups such as disabled, aged, single-parents and those affected by the digital divide.
