EDIT: Really pleased to have been a part of this wonderful event that brought together council tenants and housing association tenants at Islington council. Our talk on small ways to help maximise use and comfort of home for better wellbeing was well received. We had useful discussions around what can be done, and what might be the barriers. Residents expressed of wanting to do more one-on-one design advise. You can read a summary of our talk here: https://islingtonlife.london/discover-islington/blog/space-hacks/
I am really looking forward to supporting the overcrowding workshop for Islington council tenants on 6 November, with my colleagues at UCL and Islington Evidence at Islington Council.
Design can be a powerful tool for reimagining how we see and use our homes. I will be sharing small-space design hacks to help residents make the most of their homes in overcrowded spaces, alongside Mayra Alvarado and Marian Oo from Evidence Islington.
